Welcome to the Volume Browser Homepage

Project Description

The Volume Browser shall be a tool to browse voxeldata. This data may for example be created with medical imaging devices.

The project will be realized using C++, QT and OpenGL.

In the first phase the project will be designed to run under linux environments. The use of QT and OpenGL will allow easy portability to other systems.

The beginning of the project will be carried out during a university course in computer graphics. Depending on the results the Volume Browser may be extended in the future.

The full range of functions is until now unknown, but there will be included:

• Automated segmentation of the data
• 2D and 3D Browsing of the data
• Colorcoding of the grayscale data
• A userfriendly QT interface.
